Shine at Whelden
In collaboration with the Barnstable Council on Aging, Whelden is proud to offer SHINE counseling on the third Monday of each month from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. Starting Monday, May 16th.
Have you heard about the SHINE program? SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) is a state health insurance assistance program that provides free health insurance information, counseling and assistance to Massachusetts residents with Medicare and their caregivers.
Claudia Borden has been an outreach worker with the Barnstable Senior Center for the past 16 years. In an effort to reach more folks in town, she will be coming to the library to answer any questions about aging you may have. If you are a caregiver and looking for help, having problems with your health insurance, turning 65 and don't know where to start with insurance, Claudia will be able to assist you. If you are having trouble making ends meet she may also assist with those issues or bill pay or complaint about a bill. Claudia can help with many issues, so drop in and have a chat on the third Monday at 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
